Cashout compared
Cashout is a free shift and tip tracker for tipped workers. A lot of the apps people ask about are built for something else: mileage, self-employed bookkeeping or tax filing. These pages say plainly when one of them is the better pick.
Every page checks the other app's own App Store listing, Google Play listing, pricing page or help center on the date shown, and leaves out what those pages don't say. Prices and features change, so check the store before you pay for anything.

Cashout vs Stride
Two free apps. Stride has automatic mileage, bank import and health insurance for independent workers; Cashout is built for tipped shifts.
Cashout vs Everlance
Everlance is a GPS mileage and expense tracker with paid plans. Pick it if driving is your main deduction.
Cashout vs Hurdlr
Hurdlr is bookkeeping for the self-employed, with bank connections, automatic mileage on its paid Premium plan and invoicing on its Pro plan.
Cashout vs Keeper
Keeper is a paid bookkeeping and tax filing service with tax pro review. Cashout estimates your taxes but doesn't file them.

Where Cashout falls short
The same gaps come up on every page, so here they are once:
- No bank or card connection. Expenses are typed in or scanned from a receipt.
- No automatic GPS mileage or trip import. You enter trips by hand.
- No tax filing. Cashout gives you a tax summary PDF and CSV or PDF shift exports.
- The iPhone app is behind Android. The App Store version is 5.0.0, English only, and the self-employment (1099) tax estimate is Android only.
- No Tax on Tips and the overtime deduction aren't in the app's tax estimate yet. The No Tax on Tips calculator covers them for now.
- The AI Coach needs an account and is limited to 50 questions a month.
What Cashout does is on the features page, with what each platform has today.
