What Cashout does
Cashout is a free shift and tip tracker for tipped workers on Android and iPhone. Each page below says how a feature works, what each platform has today, and what the feature doesn't do.
Android is on version 6.1.1. The iPhone app on the App Store is version 5.0.0, in English. Where the two differ, each page says which has what. "Coming to iPhone" means it's built but not on the App Store yet.

Shift tracker
Log shifts with hours, wages, tips and breaks, schedule upcoming shifts, and on Android time a shift from a notification or Quick Settings tile.
Tip tracking
Cash tips, card tips and tip-outs on every shift, your effective hourly rate, and Tip Reporting for earned vs reported tips.

Divide a tip pool by points, share the result, and save your crew as a template.

Paychecks and money
Paycheck Check
Compare a pay stub with the shifts you logged, and see a forecast of your current pay period.

Your balance, recurring bills and expected income in one view, plus an Income Goal on the Dashboard.
Overtime
Weekly hours against your overtime threshold, and on Android a projection from your scheduled shifts.

Taxes and records
Tax estimates
Federal, Social Security and Medicare, and state tax on your tips and wages, a set-aside tracker, and 1099 estimates on Android.
Mileage
Log work trips by hand or with a shift. Android values each trip at the IRS standard rate for its date; iPhone uses a flat 70 cents a mile.
Work Expenses
Log work expenses and scan receipts, with the text read on your phone.
Reports
Export shifts as a CSV spreadsheet or PDF report, and a year-end tax summary PDF.
Account features and your data
AI Coach
Ask questions about your own earnings in a chat. Needs an account; 50 questions a month.
Backup and sync
Save your data to a file on Android, or sign in to sync between phones, including Android and iPhone.
Privacy and price
- Free. Every feature is free on both platforms. There are no ads.
- No analytics. Neither app has analytics or tracking.
- No account needed. Both apps work fully offline with no account. Your shifts, tips and settings stay on your phone.
- Crash reports. On Android, crash reports are on by default and you can turn them off at Settings > Crash reports. A report includes the stack trace, device model, Android and app versions and a Firebase installation ID, never your shifts, earnings or email. On iPhone, Cashout only gets the crash reports you choose to share with Apple.
- What the account is for. An optional account does three things: syncs your data between phones through Cashout's own server, turns on the AI Coach, and gets you into the Break Room. Cashout never uploads your receipt photos or backup files.
- Deleting your account. You can delete it in the app or at cashout.tips/delete-account/. That removes your synced data from the server; what's on your phone stays.
